What happens to what you send me
This site stores nothing about you until you send me something. When you do, two things are kept: what you typed, and a short technical record of the submission. No page here sets a cookie, and nothing on it counts or profiles you.

Faraday OÜ is the controller of everything described on this page. I am the only person who reads it. To ask anything about your data, or to have it deleted, write to me through the contact page.
While you are reading this site
No cookies. Not from any page, not for analytics, not for preferences.
One thing is kept in your own browser. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser remembers the choice so the next page opens the same way. It never leaves your device, and I never see it.
No analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel. Nothing on this site counts your visit, follows you between pages, or reports it anywhere.
Nothing is loaded from another company. The fonts, images, scripts and styles all come from this site's own address. That is checked by a test on every build rather than promised here, because the predecessor of this site loaded files from another company's servers for eighteen months without anyone noticing.
The site is hosted by Netlify. Any request to any website reaches that site's host, so Netlify necessarily handles the request that delivers this page to you. What Netlify records about it is governed by Netlify's own terms, not by mine.
When you use the contact form
What you type into the contact form goes to me, and I use it to answer you.
Four things ride along with it that you did not type: your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the referring page and the time of submission. The form service records all four and offers no setting to drop them, so I will not pretend they are not there.
One other company sees the submission. Netlify filters every form submission for spam through Akismet, which is run by Automattic in the United States. That check happens on Netlify's servers after you press send, not in your browser.
If you email me instead
Email to me arrives in a mailbox on Google Workspace, and it stays there until I delete it. That is the same for anything you attach to it.
Paying for work
No payment happens on this site. There is no checkout, no card field and no pay button anywhere on it, so no payment detail of yours ever reaches it. When an engagement gets to the point of paying, I send a link by email, and the company behind that link handles the payment and identifies itself there.
How long I keep things
Form submissions: twelve months, then deleted.
Deletion is something I do by hand. There is no setting anywhere that does it on a schedule, so I will not claim it happens automatically. If you want yours gone sooner, ask and I will do it.
Email and project correspondence stay as long as the work and any follow-up need them. Anything that becomes an accounting record is kept for as long as Estonian accounting law requires, which is the one category I cannot delete on request.
What I never do with it
I do not sell it, share it for advertising, or pass it to anyone except where this page says so. I do not profile you, score you, or place you in a segment. There is no mailing list on this site, so nothing you send becomes a subscription.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, for a correction, or for deletion. You can object to my holding it at all. Ask through the contact page and I will do it myself, because there is nobody else here to pass it to.
If you think I have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate, the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon.
Changes to this page
If what the site does changes, this page changes in the same release. That is a rule the build enforces, not an intention.
